ABOUT ME

Design + Build for Digital, Web & Print

I'm Loc Tran, a digital designer and front-end web developer based in Los Angeles. I create accessible websites and marketing assets for digital-first teams — from SEO-optimized site structures and WCAG-compliant builds to both digital and print collateral. My work blends functional design with scalable, user-first development.

Over the years, I’ve collaborated with established, national, and global brands across industries including higher education, video games, magazine publishing, e-commerce, and programmatic advertising. Alongside design and development, I bring deep experience in digital marketing — delivering work that’s visually sharp, fully accessible, and built to perform. All projects featured on or linked from this website were solely designed and developed by me.

I'm a UCLA alum with a BA in Design. Outside of work, I enjoy long-distance running, exploring the outdoors, and photographing wildlife.

  • JEFF TAN
    President, LA Leggers
Loc is one of the most talented designers and digital marketers I've come across in two decades. As president of the L.A. Leggers running club, I asked Loc to create and implement a new brand identity for the club, including website, logo redesign, as well as design of our visual assets such as new tee-shirts, e-newsletter and pop-up tent. Not only did Loc do this with exceptional ability, skill and empathy, he continuously created proactive recommendations that we ultimately implemented. Our website is performing well — far above other running clubs in terms of SEO and UX. Loc is in a class of his own and is an asset to any organization or client he works with.

  • DANIEL KINSKE
    Author
I've known Loc for over 15 years, and he constructed both websites for my first two Hollywood film art books and am working on a third (which of course, I want to work with Loc again!) The first was a Marx Brothers book and the second website he created was both functional, gorgeous, and accelerated site traffic—book sold out in 33 days. The second site was for a Wizard of Oz film art book (exclusively sold at the Academy Museum, Museum Store, for the Museum’s grand opening and through the centenary celebration of Judy Garland.) Loc created a dynamic and beautiful site. Can’t recommend Loc highly enough for every facet of your website needs!

I — Hubert Laws — have worked with Loc Tran since he finished UCLA years ago and have benefited from his unique skills in design. Loc designed my website as well as CD covers. I have recommended him to many of my friends as a result of his preeminent artistry. His recommendations have also yielded many benefits to my career.

Loc first designed my website back in 2007 and has been maintaining and updating it ever since. He keeps ups with new and improved web technologies that have only made my site better and better. Plus, is easy to work with — such a talented, genuine person. You will be in good hands. I highly recommend him!

  • COURTNEY BARBER
    Founder, BTAB
I have worked with Loc since 2013. He was my Art Director for Glam Today magazine and designed all internal pages of each edition, as well as designed the covers. Loc always had a great eye for layout and design, and would take my ideas and bring them to life. He also developed all packaging and branding for BTAB, a women’s feel good gift line. He was able to see my vision and design exactly what I was looking for quickly and professionally. Our customers were very complimentary of our packaging due to Loc’s creative flair!
